I am a computer science PhD student at UC Berkeley, researching web security. My advisor is David Wagner, and I often collaborate with other members of webblaze. My office is 731 Soda Hall. I received a BS in computer science from the University of Virginia in 2008.

I am the security reading group czar; the schedule for that is located here. We meet at 1PM in room 373 on Tuesdays. I am also the IEEE S&P (Oakland) web chair.

I am a recipient of the NSF Graduate Fellowship and the UCB Chancellor's Fellowship. As an undergraduate, I was a finalist for the CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Award 2008 and won the UVA SEAS Outstanding Student Award 2008.

Outside of work, I like to hike and travel. In the last few years I have been to: Bermuda, China, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Peru, Puerto Rico, Scotland, and Spain. My family is Costa Rican so I have been there many times; let me know if you plan to travel there and have questions.

I also have a cute American Pit Bull Terrier named Punky. I adopted her May 2009 from the Berkeley Humane Society; she is two years old. Sometimes she hangs out in my office at Soda Hall. She is very friendly and has completed a canine "good citizen" obedience class.
