Solving the World's Board Games with Computational Game Theory
ABSTRACT
Since 2001, the GamesCrafters research and development group at UC
Berkeley has been developing a software infrastructure utilizing
computational game theory to strongly solve the world's board games.
We have more than 70 games and puzzles in our system, and we offer a
perfect computer opponent who can teach the perfect strategy, as well
as providing a post-game analysis for two players (e.g, for every poor
move, what the right move should have been). The group has engaged
over 300 top undergraduates who often return semester after semester
to tackle more challenging problems.
