VRP03_TITLE=Mars Terrain Surface Modeling
VRP04_DESCR=In the work, the global terrain modele of Mars will be built.
The objectives of this project include:
1. Development of a complete Mars planetary model dataset
with standard level-of-detail (LOD) control.
2. Extend and modify surface model algorithm for LOD, i.e.,
for multiresolution.
3. Compare the "Quad-tree decomposition" and "Delaunay
triangulation".
4. Find a powerful surface model compressing technique, which
is important for the huge amount of data set.
5. (optional) Wavelet based terrain compression with dynamic
updates of terrain mesh (exciting new technique
to avoid memory problems associated with large LOD
scene graph databases.
