We have decided to modify and add a few features. The main change has to do with interaction. We have decided that the user will also be able to view the complex dynamics of the system, in addition to freely navigating through it. The main idea is that the user may "activate" a certain part of the anatomy by pointing to it. This part of the anatomy will then animate to represent its true dynamics. For this purpose, we divided the model into a functional model, which is implemented using WTK's geometry and polygon functions, and a static model, designed using 3DStudio. The functional model consists of the lens, fibers, and iris and the static model, for which the dynamics will not be explored consists of the cornea, sclera, optic nerve, and other outer muscles. The user will be able to interact with the functional model, and navigate through the entire model. PROJECT_STATUS06_WDONE=We have implemented the complete functional model using WTK libraries, and created a few realistic textures for texture mapping them. We have began implementation of the event handling, and scene graph implementation. We have also created some models using 3DStudio, which will be used for the static model. We then plan to integrate this model with the functional model and add level-of-detail nodes for faster navigation through the model.
