The Security Reading Group will meet in Soda 606 at 1pm this Friday, 3
February, to talk about the following three projects:

"Automated Web Patrol with Strider HoneyMonkeys: Finding Web Sites That
Exploit Browser Vulnerabilities" (NDSS 2006)
http://research.microsoft.com/research/pubs/view.aspx?type=Technical%20Report&id=926

"A Crawler-based Study of Spyware on the Web" (NDSS 2006)
http://www.cs.washington.edu/~gribble/papers/spycrawler.pdf

SiteAdvisor (CodeCon 2006)
www.siteadvisor.com

All three projects have the same broad idea: build a crawler that
searches the Web for "evil" web sites, then report the results. What
each project does with this idea, however, is different. We will talk
about the promise and limitations of the underlying idea and each
project's take on it.
