NEST Meeting Schedule

NEST meetings are held on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:30 in 606 Soda Hall. We discuss issues pertaining to Wireless Sensor Networks, the TinyOS software platform, the Mote hardware platform, the DARPA NEST project, and many other WSN-related projects.

The following is a schedule of speakers and topics. For speakers, a 40 minute talk would work best, leaving time for discussion and questions. For people bringing lunch, food for 25 people is a good estimate. Willa Walker in 626 Soda will take care of the reimbursement after you give her the receipts.

If you want to present to the NEST group, please email Gilman Tolle.

How to get food for a meeting.

Place an order for 25 people's worth of food, with a mix of meat-based and vegetarian options. That's approximately one burrito per person, 2 slices of pizza, etc. Usually the order-taker at the food place will help you prepare an order with the right size and a good assortment of food, so you don't have to specify the whole thing exactly. Most will deliver right to 380 Soda, but some require a walking or driving pickup. Willa Walker in 626 Soda will reimburse you when you give her the receipts. You'll probably want to call the place a day in advance (that's Thursday) to prepare them for the large order. Also, make sure to either order drinks (soda, juices, water) and plastic cups from the place itself, or pick them up down at 7 Palms convenience store on Euclid Ave. You'll probably want to get 3-4 bottles of soda and 3-4 bottles of juice, and a bottle of water.

We have ordered food from this list of places:
