UCB BID/HCC Retreat

Granlibakken Conference Center, Lake Tahoe
Sunday June 16 - Tuesday June 18th, 2002

This is a combined retreat for the Berkeley Institute of Design and HCC - the Human-Centered Computing group. The retreat is a 3-day event with faculty and students from UCB and collaborators from outside UCB. There are no costs for attending the retreat . You can find out more about Granlibakken here. We won't provide transportation, but if you'd like help finding a partner to carpool with, mail jfc@cs.berkeley.edu.

As well as general overviews, this retreat will have a focus on two topics: (i) teaching and industry relationship strategies for BID and (ii) educational technology opportunities.

Amtrak has trains and coaches to Truckee and Tahoe. There are train-coach combinations (about 4 hours) from Berkeley (BKY)  to Truckee (TRU) that arrive at noon. See http://reservations.amtrak.com.
