I'm a fifth-year graduate student in Computer Science Division, UC Berkeley. My advisor is Professor John Canny. Before arriving UC Berkeley in August 2002, I'd worked at IBM China Research Lab for three years, initially as a Research Member and later as a Staff Research Member. I received my master degree in Computer Engineering (1999), bachelor degree in E.E.(1996) both from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China.

Research

My research interests include Human-Computer Interaction and Applied Machine Learning. I'm particularly interested in researching novel interaction techniques and on-line handwriting recognition algorithms.
