I graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from
UC Berkeley in May 2010. My advisor was Professor John Canny.
Before coming to UC Berkeley, I'd worked at IBM China Research Lab
for three years, initially as a Research Member and later as a Staff Research Member and Team Lead. I received my master degree in
Computer Engineering, bachelor degree in E.E. both from
Xi'an Jiaotong University, China.
My primary research direction is Human-Computer Interaction, with minors in Systems and Statistics(Machine Learning). I'm
particularly interested in areas such as Mobile Interfaces, Location Based Services, Novel Input and Interaction Techniques, Social Computing, Education/Learning Technology, Serious Games, Assistive Technology and Online Handwriting/Gesture Recognition Algorithms.
Here are my CV and recent publications.
