The reading assignment for Wednesday for CS 258 is to read the following  two papers:

  2. Anant Agarwal, Richard Simoni, John Hennessy, and Mark Horowitz, An Evaluation of Directory Schemes for Cache Coherence, Proceedings of the International symposium on Computer Architecture, 1988.  See ISCA Retrospective
You must also:
Write one paragraph about each paper. You should briefly summarize the arguments, then  describe your opinions on and reactions to the issues introduced in the papers.
