VTrace Source

Here is the source code for VTrace for Windows NT, VTrace for Windows 2000, and the VTrace Trace Reader. Some of these files have a .bin suffix, which is only there to ensure that you download the file in binary. Remove the .bin suffix to read the files. Some browsers automatically unzip the files but leave the .gz.bin suffix anyway; if you have trouble reading a file after downloading it, try removing the .gz.bin suffix and trying again. You are free to use the code however you like as long as you (a) indicate that it came from Jacob R. Lorch and the University of California at Berkeley and (b) indicate that the code carries the following two-paragraph disclaimer:

In no event shall the author, Jacob R. Lorch, or his employer, the University of California at Berkeley, be liable to any party for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, arising out of the use of this software and its documentation, even if the author has been advised of the possibility of such damage.

The author specifically disclaims any warranties, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The software provided hereunder is on an "as is" basis, and the author has no obligations to provide maintenance, support, updates, enhancements, or modifications.
