Examined Othar's code: Class hierarchy, LW and EM algs
     Seems we need both normalized and unnormalized distributions
     Need destructive and nondestructive versions of conditioning
     Need to develop coding standards
Mike Jordan on board
Jim Demmel not available, but recommends
     1) complete and thorough testing code - 38% of LAPACK
     2) extensive timing code
     3) strict management - interface definitions, task allocation
     4) early invited workshop for community to provide feedback
Discussed funding opportunities: 
     Gunning (ARPA) - Daphne sent two-page WP
     MURI - basic research related to adaptive/neural/embedded systems
Briefly discussed John's GUI - basically in good shape
