"Whirled White Web" -- Maquettes

Using rapid prototyping machines, several maquettes were fabricated to study the design in more detail
and to plan the approach by which this complex shape can best be executed in snow and ice.

A first maquette made in the Fused Deposition Modeling machine, used in the submission process:

A larger maquette made with the 3D Printer from Z-corporation.

A maquette made at 1/24 scale of the final snow sculpture, also made with FDM.
We will use this maquette to plan and check every step of the sculpting process.
