L-SIF Man page

Usage: glsif.sgi [-o <output_file>] [-l <ssl, lsif>] [-b] [-t] <input_file_name>

   -o <file>: output filename for the lsif
   -l <ssl, lsif>: the output language
   -b: resolve boolean opeartions in the lsif
   -t: translate ssl to positive x-y quadrant
 



FDM: SSL

By translating L-SIF file into SSL the internal slice language of FDM,  SIF parts can be manufactured by FDMs without using the STL format. This also makes it possible to resolve Boolean operations without the intrinsic use of oriented STL shells.  The red arros in the following figure shows the pipeline:
