I am currently a Ph.D. student at UC Berkeley. My research interests reside in architecture and transition compression techniques for power reduction on microprocessors. I am also very interested in computer networks and communication and power issues with sensor networks. My advisor is Prof. John Kubiatowicz, principle investigator of Oceanstore, a wide-scale storage system based on utility model.
I completed my undergradudate degree in the EECS department at Berkeley. While my emphasis was cmputer science, I also took several IC design and communication system courses. In addition, I joined UC Berkeley's photolithography CAD group, TCAD, where I worked on co-developed the projection electron beam (E-beam) simulator with Hiroshi Yamashita and Tim James.
An immense advantage of being a graduate student is the flexibility of time. As such, I've devoted my spare time toward badminton, hiking, camping and, with enough crazy people, all-night Halo tournaments.
