Course Information
The introductory lecture describes the motivation behind this course. The primary goal is to give students an understanding of when and how to use parallel machines, how the machines are built, the languages and libraries used to program them, and the algorithms and applications that are most common.
The work in the course will consistent of 4-5 homework assignments worth 50% of the final grade and a final project worth the other 50%. Homeworks will be weighted depending on the level of effort required.
