CS267: Lecture 6
Distributed Memory Multiprocessors
September 17, 2001
Lecturer: Matt Welsh
Abstract
We discuss some of the history of large scale, distributed memory
multiprocessors and their networks. We give a brief overview of
programming these machines (both point-to-point and collective communication
operations). Finally, we describe some of the current machines, including
the Berkeley Millennium cluster, that are based on clusters of workstations.
