We give an overview of solving elliptic PDE's, in particular the Poisson equation, using several techniques. Today's lecture continues from the previous lecture, covering basic multigrid algorithms. We also summarize with a comparison of the performance of the methods (Jacobi, SOR, Conjugate Gradient, FFTs and multigrid).
