The reading assignment for Monday for CS 258 is to read the following three papers.

  3. The Message-Driven Processor: A Multicomputer Processing Node with Efficient Mechanisms, William Dally, J.A. Stuart Fiske, John Keen, Richard Lethin, Michael Noakes, Peter Nuth, Roy Davison, and Gregory Fyler, Appears in IEEE Micro, April 1992
You must also:
Write one paragraph about each paper. You should briefly summarize the arguments, then describe your opinions on and reactions to the issues introduced in the papers.  Note that you have already read about the MDP last week, so #3 should be that bad.  Look for additional information that wasn't in last week's MDP paper. I will be asking for paper leaders for #1 and #2 for next Monday.
